Celebrate Be Kind to Animals Week in style with a fun event at the Humane Society. Join us for Humane Hullabaloo on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 11:00am to 3:00pm at the shelter on Watkins Road. Featured specials include a microchip special ($20 per chip), dog baths and toe nail clipping ($5 donation each). Youngsters (or those young at heart!) can participate in a shelter dog walk-a-thon to raise pledges to provide care for shelter pets, with prizes going to the top three fundraisers. Also at the event, HSSCM behaviorist Lois Phelps will have a dog flyball demonstration. For a $5 donation, you can bring your own dog and Lois will teach you the basics of using an agility course and teaching your dog basic agility (participants must pre-register).
