Education Programs
The Humane Society believes that by through the provision of quality
community education programs on various animal welfare topics can
we create a society where every pet is a wanted pet.
Early Childhood Education
HSSCM staff members visit pre-school and early elementary
school classrooms, offering our curriculum on basic pet care needs and dog bite prevention to children,

Educational Shelter Tours
Do you have a group of youth (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, church group, etc.)
who need a service project? HSSCM will schedule a behind-the-scenes
shelter tour and the chance to speak with our behaviorist or animal
care staff member. Groups are asked to collect donations from the agency's
wish list so they can learn how we put those items to good use! Please

Adult Education
HSSCM holds monthly adult education programs, open to the public,
on a wide variety of topics.
Past sessions have included dog and cat CPR/First Aid, Best Friend
in Training, Furry Foster Care Education and cat massage.
Canine Training Institute
HSSCM's Canine Training Institute is the best place for you and your
best friend to learn new things together. To learn more about the
