There are many options for donating to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan. We've put together a list of opportunities for you to consider Your financial contribution makes it possible for our agency to change the lives of animals in our community. HSSCM does not hold the City or County animal control contracts; we do not receive any governmental or tax dollar support. Our work is made possible by generous people who seek to make a difference in the lives of companion animals. No donation is too small to make a difference!

Credit Card Donations
To make a credit card payment over the phone, please call our Finance Director, Melissa Sawyer, at 269.963.1796 ext. 19 any time of the day or night. Leave your information on her secure voicemail and we will process the payment the next business day.

Donations Via Check
Prefer to write a check? That's great, too! Make your check payable to HSSCM and mail it to HSSCM, 2500 Watkins Road, Battle Creek, MI 49015.

Planned Giving
Your planned gift is a commitment that will benefit homeless companion animals in south central Michigan in the future through such means as wills, IRA or traditional retirement or 401K plans, living trusts, life insurance policies or charitable annuities and trusts. Click here to learn more.

Become a Member
Your dues help us to pay for the unexpected expenses that occur during the year. You will be assisting us in giving critical care to lost and abandoned animals. We receive animals from all over Michigan. Membership benefits include VIP invitations to HSSCM events, quarterly newsletters, and a membership card. Remember, your membership fees are tax deductible. Click here to learn more.

Shelter Pet Sponsorships
For $25 a month, you can sponsor a pet currently in the shelter. We will send you the kennel card for the animal you sponsor, and monthly email updates.

Memorial Brick Path
Engraved bricks will create a path in our rainbow memorial garden. All donations are tax deductible. Click here to download an order form that can be printed and mailed to the Humane Society. The cost for a memorial brick is $125.

Memorial Wall Tiles
Memorial wall tiles may be purchased for $250. We can use a black and white photo in most cases, as long as it has clearly defined images, handwriting (either supplied or font), or a black and white line drawing. We need a
minimum of six tile orders before we can have the tiles fired, so it may take some time to get yours up on the wall. Call 269.963.1796, ext. 19 to purchase a memorial tile. The cost for a memorial tile is $250.

Yearly Kennel Sponsorships
These high-quality, full-color signs, designed and created by Jerry Ure from Signs N Designs, are adhered to our
inside dog kennels, just above the dog’s head-height where everyone who visits the dogs will see. Additionally, HSSCM staff members will send you monthly photos and stories about the dog currently in your kennel, and let
you know when that dog has been adopted! For businesses that purchase a kennel sponsorship, we can even arrange to bring a program on the shelter itself, along with a currently-available shelter dog, to your facility to visit with your staff members. Kennels are sponsored annually for $1,000.

Bryan Thomas Memorial Fund
The Bryan Thomas Memorial Fund provides medical and surgical care for sick or wounded animals at the sanctuary. On an average, 200 animals annually are treated for anything from fractures to heartworms. Without this program, the HSSCM would not be able to treat at-risk animals that arrive with medical needs. Company Match
Do you want an easy way to donate to a great cause like the Humane Society? Many companies are matching any contribution their employees give to us. If you decide to sign your company up to match donations, your business name/logo will be included in several publications throughout the year as being a corporate sponsor.
